Greetings, all, and especially to our friends who are digging out in the northeast from the snow storm!
Ellen has come back from the Needlepoint Show with lots of goodies for us. Even if you aren’t a needlepointer (yet), I think you’ll enjoy seeing some of the new canvases.
From Pepperberry, three snowmen.
From Melissa Shirley, two cups of something warm and sweet:
I don’t remember who the artist of this canvas is (if you call the shop, they can tell you).
By Nenah Stone, an adorable Christmas ornament.
By the Drawn Thread, “Simply Winter” and…
“Good Tidings.”
Something small to stitch up while admiring/cursing the flakes: Fireside Originals’ “Snowy Nights”
Did someone say “Christmas?”
Stacy Nash Primitives “Merry Christmas Pinkeep” and
“Silent Night Pinkeep and Ornament”
“Schoolgirl Sampler Sewing Bag” which I might stitch up as a pinkeep.
Two berries in the Erica Michaels
Silk Berry Collection: “Sweetberry” and
“Honey Berry.”
There’s lots going on in the shop! We will be open tomorrow, Sunday, February 12 from 12:30 to 4:30. If you are turning your needlework lovelies directly in to Woodlawn tomorrow, treat yourself to a little shopping spree at–it’s almost Valentine’s Day! March is the Woodlawn Needlework Show (open every day but Tuesdays. We have seen some of the entries, and they are wonderful. And of course, it’s the Nashville needlework market, and we’ll be loading up the store with all the newest cross stitch which will first be offered for sale on Market Night on March 8!
For questions or to order, please call us at 703-360-4600. We are located at 8800 F Pear Tree Village, not far from Woodlawn Plantation down Route 1 (look for the McDonalds–we are in the shopping center next door), Alexandria, Virginia. I will post more specifics about hours when I’ve confirmed them later today, but call the shop if you have questions about our hours.
Happy stitching!
